12/12 From Seed - Worth It?

Who else does this? I have 2 White Widow fems that have been under 12/12 from seed as an experiment.

Pros/Cons

The plant will be small.
It still takes the plant time to mature.
From seed or veg them it still takes them the same time to flower.

yeah it works...

not worth it with most strains or indica strains

Does it really work? Yes, you can search through these forums and find multiple people who have done it. Would I personally recomend it, absolutely not.

You could do a one box perpetual harvest with 12/12 from seed.

its worth it if you have many plants....

Just got done with my first attempt at 12/12 from seed... Never again, I will forever be an officer in the clone army. Took forever to get them to mature and they are not small by any means. They stretch pretty hard... There is nothing better than an nice even canopy of plants to work with, which is almost impossible to achieve with 12/12 from seed.

It works but i rather use clones to go 12/12 from root.

I grow 12/12 from germination all the time nowdays and for me, yes, it is worth it! I'd say it depends on what you are looking for in terms of yeild.

Theres a rollitup 12/12 growers dedicated thread here in the indoor growing section and its very active, its well worth a scan through if you are thinking about this method.

12/12 seedplants are far more vigorous than 12/12 clones in my experience, its better to give clones a little veg time for better yield.

Finally heres my last harvest, Bubba O Kush grown 12/12 from germination, planted straight into big pots soon as seeds have cracked, you dont want any transplanting to slow things down! Simple bit of LST. Finished at 77 days total 12/12 cycle.

nice little cutie there, I would say 3 weeks veg then 12/12, get a bit of extra growth and it's only an extra 3 weeks

Wow, nice Cerebralvibrator... I tried it once with 4 fem Brainstorm in solo cups and I noticed they did stretch a bit, no side branching and each only yielded about a half. But, the pro's are that being in the solo cups took up hardly any room in my tent. I had bigger girls in there too and had a little bit of extra space so i tried it.. Id try it again with alot more, im pondering my next grow now. Lots of little plants or 6 medium size, cant deside.... I have a bunch of great seeds....

I keep hearing this and I keep replying..... half OZ is a months supply for me thesedays, we dont all want to be stoned all the time my friend! I have a business to run and a family to feed. My small 12/12 grow in a 1 metre sq cabinet actually produces close to an OZ per month of quality buds and thats MORE than I need.

Too many growers are seemingly obsessed by yield, and thats fine BUT you need to remember there are thousands of users out there for whom a Q a month is plenty!! Thats why so many grow in PC cases nowdays for example

i totally agree with cerebral grow to your needs either be personal or market thats fine but not everyone out there wants to harvest 4-5 pounds every month chill and burn oned

Is there some benefit to slowing vegetative growth under 12/12 light - other than keeping a plant small?
