not to step on toes. But technically the end of the myan calander does end in apocolypse but it is seen by the people more as a time for new beginning rather than final destruction. Regardless their calendar had to end someday it just so happened it's during our time. Just think you'll be able to tell your kids you lived through it!

They actually have 3 calenders for seperate reasons. But all of the major prophecys in their calendars are all linked back to something that happened in their history. Meaning their prophecies were more on what happened to them as a society within the 2500yrs they existed, not what's going to happen in the future. They saw the earth and everything that happens as an inevitable cycle.

According to who? I found this gregorian calendar that ends December 31, 2011. Clearly apocalypse must follow.

You guys crack me up. The mayans said NOTHING about the world ending. If you understood anything about how the mayans made their calendar you would realize you simply keep counting, exactly the same way our calendars do.

for sure gonna happen! all the ancient gods are similar in the fact they came from the stars, came down to earth in "suits" and taught the people the ways of life. Tell me that's not alien intervention at it's finest in early civilization. HOw come civilizations across seas have similar storys of being visited by "gods" from the stars. lets see our universe is 12-14 BILLION years old. Earth is only 4.5 BILLIOn years old and humans are only 5million years old. and in the Huge vast universe scientists conclude their are 30 billion other earth like planets out their. We can't be the only ones...

My rant and rave for the day.

I was trying to say that lol. exactly though everything has to end then it just starts all over. Like I said it's been translated as an apacolpyse that will wipe out the world but as you said they never said that! In the day reality TV and bullshit drama we make things out worse than they appear so we have something to talk about. and according to the Myans. Their calendar prophecy DOES say they have an apacolypse, your right nothing about the end of the world, it's more a new beginning than a desctruction.
