1000watt Feminized Barney's Farm VIOLATOR KUSH, AFGAN KUSH, PAPAYA GROW!!
OK here goes another grow ! ! ! I've got a few years growing under my belt with hydroponics and this is my 2nd or 3rd real soil grow. SO Excited !

For my equipment---> I have a 6.5'x 7' x 7.4'tall shed. (spayed the entire interior flat white) Hypotek 1000watt dimmable balast, 6" air cooled hood, 435cfm inline fan. 20" box fan installed in top corner to blow down across over the ladies (i hope when they grow old they will be fatt, i love fat girls ha ha).

I am using Happy Frogg soil with no other additives in the soil. I have (12) four gallon buckets. ( 3 rows of 4) For nutes i am gonna use FloroNova bloom for the entire vegg cycle, and when i switch to 12/12, i am gonna use FloraNova bloom, Pinneapple sweetner and bontanicare's hydroplex.

For the beans i ordered Feminized Barney's Farm Violater kush x 10, and they threw in 2 free feminized seeds too, afghan kush and afghan ryder kush. I also picked up a papaya clone from my local medical club. I germinated all the seeds using the paper towel method. 9 violators and both afghans popped tails in about 3 days. I planted them in the soil and today they all broke the soil showing their first set of leaves.
I planted the papaya clone in the 12th bucket wich i am gonna light stress train ( LST) for the first time also.
I am watering with plain water for now and very light amounts, maybey 2-3 fl oz of water every 2- 3 days.

The temps in the room are about 65° -72° and about 60% humidity with the inline fan off. I live in CA and it gets 100°+ in summer so i will run the inlinefan accordingly.


Any Advice, comments, concerns, questions are welcomed! !​

Looking good so far, Let me know what you think of that Happy Frog. I used it under a 400 watt MH, with air temp 74-78 and I thought that it held too much water.

I can sympathize with the hot summer issues.

[SIDE NOTE: I have my ballast set at 50%, = 500w-600w]

This is day 4 since the seedlings broke soil. All 9 Violators are about 2-3" tall, and are shooting out their 2nd set of leaves. The papaya in LST is doinf fucking Awesome! All sides and the main top are pointing straight up.:eyesmoke: One of the afgan seedlings never popped up, so i might have to go to the dispensary and pick up another plant. I will probably LST that also.

The Temp is about 69 and the humidity is about 63. I am still feeding with plain water.

DAY 6 VEGG

So here is another update. 6 days since the seeds broke soil. I bent the Papaya a little more and tied again, she is growing fast and nice. The Nine Violators are lookin great, green and healthy. The one afgan kush is about the same as the violators. it looks good. I will probaby get another clone tomorrow at the club for the last bucket.The leaves have grown alot in 2 days, still using plain water. I'm just using a spray bottle to mist the soil right around the seedling.

DAY 7 VEGG

I went to the dispensary today and got 2 more clones. A sour diesel and a white widow . First off, I found bugs on the underside of the leaves, but pretty common for clones. So i sprayed the new babies heavily with AVID.

I decided to put the sour diesel in the empty soil bucket and the white widow is gonna go into a hydro bucket for an LST as well, in my other grow room [ 3.5' x 3.5'] With a 600watt switchable, 435cfm inline for cooling.

Here is what it all looks like now.

Now for the white widow. I will put this into a Power Grower hydro bucket and LST this also. I have to transplant this thing so First I have to rinse off all of the soil from the roots. My method is easy and effective. I get a large bowl, and run luke warm water into it from the sink. I place the soiled root ball into the bowl, but not directly under the running water. I just let the water overflow the bowl while I hold the roots/soil under water. The gentle bubbles and water current wash off the soil without damage. Now I GENTLY spread out the roots and place ontop of the hydroton in the top bucket. Then I GENTLY place more hydrton on top to cover the roots and support the plant. I added an air stone and very very very diluted DYNA-Gro nutes in water for the resavoir. I will run this for a week or 2 to let the plant adjust, then start with normal nutes and i will start LST in a few days. :bigjoint:

wow, those clones are lucky that you are there grower.... they would have been GONE from my garden. I don't fuck with that, but all in all your grow is looking good man! You got a monster coming with that violator kush. I gotta admit that stuff is some of the best i've had in awhile.

Hey bro was your violator in soil or hydro? How much did you yield. I wanna get 2 - 2 1/2 oz per plant. I have gotten 4-6 oz per plant in hydro 5 gal buckets. U think I am being realistic sourD?

100% organic in a 45/55 mix of perlite and soil. 4 plants in 7 gal buckets (which was way overkill IMO) yeilded 10 ounces under 2 400 watt HIDs. For me that was about 2.5 ounces per plant, so your estimation is extremely realistic.
I'd say that this pheno was about 70% indica and 30% sativa. The nugs were not the biggest i've ever seen BUT they were dense enough to even itself out.
(sorry but that is the best canopy shot I could find)

edit: I forgot to mention that these were grown up naturally. So you might potentially get more out of them if you supercrop. They seem to respond well to topping/supercropping.

I would immediately destroy those clones. You do not want to bring mites into your house period! it will cause problems down the road trust me

I know, I'm a little nervous about them. Ive dealt with spider mites several times before. It seemed to fade away when i got the temperature under controll. The avid worked very good. I usually seem to have more of an issue with flying nats/white flies. And my last 2 grows i had no bug problems at all, but i did experience some powdery mildew. Im gonna call the dispensary and see if i can return the plants.
