1000w Questions- New Set Up-Help Needed?

I was wanting suggestions of how I should go about setting this room up I'm low on cash so I'm going with soil and I'm adding a {1000w HPS} to my 400w HPS and 354w T5 HO floro's and doing three separate set-ups but SMALL!!!!! I only need help with one particular setup(1000w) but I'm going to describe the other setups just in case because I know theres so many different ways to go about everything.

I'm worried about having to keep that closet closed and then the heat and the AC will cancel each other out so there will still be ventilation problems(heat) and there is no way to vent out of the closet is there?? The veg is going to be set up in the room part. T5 on one side 400w on the other (<---yes that low budget hahaha) Those two in a closet weren't too much of a problem.

The rooms a master bed room! T5 on one side starting up seedlings and making way for clones while the 400w is getting some ladies ready for the 1000w sauna room. BUT SERIOUSLY THOUGH...HELP PLEASE!!!! Oh yeah and its gonna get stinky I'm using Blood Meal, Earthworm Castings, Organic Soil, and Fox Farms Trio Pack Nutes just to see if I can keep this smell down before going to other advanced nutes.

Vent into the attic by cutting a hole in the closet ceiling. IMO you should run both 400 and 1000 for VEG AND FLOWER!! Another thing that you may not realize is that your portable air conditioner still needs to be vented out a window. If you just leave it running in the closet without venting its exhaust your closet temps will get in excess of 120F.

And don't explain risk because I know many people who do it. And what if I kept closet door open for ventilation when1000w lights are on. I was going to put a tarp over the door at night so none of the 400w and t5's(18/6) won't interrupt my 1000w(12/12) light schedule and that way the portable ac can cool the whole room down.

I know my situations kinda tricky but any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm wanting to get 2 pounds every 2 months!!! That's more than reasonable. From me growing up around my dad I know all the basics and I have a killer green thumb. I have achieved half a pound off my 400w HPS(6 plants). So 12 plants and getting 2 pounds under the 1000w HPS shouldn't be a problem.

I think I will be able to control Smell with air freshners etc without carbon scrubbers and stuff. But I need help with this setup!!! I have a whole room to work with So how should I set it up without having to worry about heat and ventilation!!

You will have to build a venting system that goes out the window to pull all the heat out, there just isn't any other way really. a 1k Watt light puts out a lot of heat. I like cool tubes because they are easy to vent, in fact if you do it right a cool tube and a inline fan can do everything a AC unit and a regular reflector will do.

What is the reflector for? So you're saying I'd be better off going with the cool tube and a inline fan that vents the heat out the window. What about FLIR? Won't to much heat attract too much HEAT(5.o.)??

I assume you are in the USA, FLIR is illegal to use on someones house unless you have a Warrant. Besides just becasue you are venting hot air out your window is no indication of a crime being committed. FLIR techs are looking for BIG grows, not a 1k watt grow of 1 or 2 plants.

oh ok so really I should just put the 1000w in the room. And put the 400w and T5 in the closet because those lights are gonna be on the same light schedule.

Another question?? When I'm venting out the window how do I do that without ppl knowing there's a huge beam of light out the window. Its in the back of the apartments but there can be ppl walking back there so is there anything to put on the window so I can have it up and just the screen showing if you understand what I mean.
Or what can do if I cut a hole in the ceiling once I leave the apartment?
Basically what I'm asking is if I'm gonna be growing in the whole room I know I gotta worry ALOT more about smell(neighbors). So I know that I'LL NEED this vent and a carbon filter for sure...but I don't know how to set-it-up in a room. I'm on the top floor. ((I could use the vents in the room right, whether its on the floor or the ceiling what will I need to pull the stinky hot air out of the room is that what the filter is for??))

Build your venting so it has turns in it, the light won't get around them turns, especially if you paint the inside flat black.

I&#8217;d try to get a hold a Carbon filter and 8&#8221; inline fan! Then build a black out box around your window with a 8&#8221; flange so it vents into the window box and goes out the window.. As long as you have heavy blinds and insulated ducting no one from the outside will see and it will vent fine..


Or just vent it to the attic after the filter but then it fills your attic with some smell and makes it hot!

Its a 12000BTU AC with 5 pack Carbon Filter!!!

Ok that's what I kinda wanted to hear!! Now all I have to worry about is sound of fans because I read a review of the apartment I'm moving into has thin walls!! Any suggestion to insulate room or cancel out sounds from fans!!!

I been searching around! I'm thinkin bout getting a double hose portable ac with a scrubber

OK I'm going back and forth with myself but what if I get a window ac put in the room. What will I need then? That will get rid of heat but what about smell. And pumping in fresh air would the ac being doing this as well.

when venting it is better to exhaust out rather than pulling air in. Exhausting out will significantly cool the room. Exhaust high because hot air rises and in essence you will be sucking the most of ur hot air out your room.
