So im planning on a 2-3 foot tall before I move to flower..how close can I put my light to get the best penetration, I was thinking 12" or so from the canopy
1000w On light mover. How close can i go?

Can you believe - going forward - that when someone Googles 12" and penetration that your thread will come up? Anyway - much to their surprise I guess. To answer your question though - I think a foot will work perfectly for the distance to the plant canopy.

8.5 foot lid...my plan is to utilize the full potential of my light...also planning on using cfls during flower to supplement a lol Xtra light to the lower portions...just want to know what's too close for the big boy?
