Flowering has just started...Waiting for the Carbon filter/fan to arrive as I type this...lol. Here are the specs:

8x5x8 closet walk in closet, which is located within my bedroom. There's no ducting/venting inside the closet. My only concern is odor because I'm in a downstairs apt. Can I just cut out 6" diameter hole in the top of the closet door for exhaust, and leave the door shut, so the crack underneath the door would act as intake( AC temps in apt is @ 688). So the the exhaust air would then be filtered back into my room/apt, unscented? If I have to make another hole or even get another fan for intake thats fine. My main concern is that there is little smell as possible. First timer, so any suggestions are much appreciated. One more time, this is the setup I was considering: 8x5x8 closet inside bedroom>carbon filter/fan sucking out and exhausting through the hole in the door which is in my bedroom. I have a 500 cfm fan with a huge charcoal filter and random jars of well place ONA gel and glad motion sensors, and remember scent is the theme here:p

Thanks guys

I did the same thing with my closet a while back, but I cut a hole in the ceiling ( i checked it out and made sure it wasnt shared with my nieghbor) and but an 8" fan that pulled all the stinky air out.

Im not sure exhausting it back into your room is a good idea, i still think its going to smell... I would definitly build a charcoal air filter and see if you can exhaust it through a window or something. Otherwise the air might just keep mixing in your room...

also what are you going to do when you have people in your room?

make sure you keep that bedroom door locked when youre gone. maybe you can exhaust thru floor? dont know. just be careful.

Hope your not growing a stinky strain.

Next time, get some Northern Lights #5 with a carbon air scrubber..

Northern Lights #5 is the lowest odor strain available, and its Bodacious!!!

You'll be playing it safe this way ;-)

There are many more concerns my friend!

You need to filter your air, because apart from making your house airtight, it will stink up your whole neighbourhood & as you are living with it , you wont even know! But thats the least of your problems!!!
1000 W with bad ventilation is a fire waiting to happen!

Also if you vent the air out from your drobe into your house, in the winter months you will have condensation & damp mold on anything & everything. Wood beams in the ceiling will rot & you wont see it happening untill the roof falls in! Back to the drawing board my friend, you must vent out side & you m,sut filter it.
Flowering now without it is a crazy thing to be doing! Think m8 THINK!

Hes Right your set up needs some re-thinking......you got a 1000w? and your not cooling it? or did you say you where? eather way if your just exhausting it back into the same room then your just recirculating the same hot stinky air over and over.......
Ive got a 1000w going right now in apartment in a grow tent.....Im creating negative pressure by using one 8" fan to pull stinky tent air through Carbon filter>duct>Hood>duct>outside tent>8"fan>4'silencer>outwindow.

This way i basicaly create negative pressure for the entire room the tent is in, not letting any smell escape the carbon filter.....once into carbon filter its pulled past light to cool bulb then out tent through fan into 4 foot silencer and out window......

This is VERY load...My entire room as foam egg panals around walls paired with sound damping blankets. also have insulated ducting and a heatshield for hood to help with heat and noise.
I Rapp blankets around the Fan and attach a big silencer to the exhaust side of fan........without these measures things would be pretty load and if your in an apartment you should be just as worried about that along with smell.
Also if you do run outside a window you cant just have poeple seeing your ducting and shit so that take some problem solving.....to solve the problem for me i built a wooden frame from small 1"by3" boards then put a back side to the frame so i had basicaly a wooden box that was just big enough to slide into my window frame from inside.. No nails or anyting just push the wooden box into window frame from in the inside of apartment......before i did this i took out blinds and put in flat wooden blinds that i could mount flush agaisnt the window on the inside allowing room for the box to be pushed in. Looking from the out side you just see blinds . I painted the concave side of the box so in daytime you dont just see wood through blinds you see as if the light was off in the room .......make sense? this is light proof no mater how bright it is in the room people outside think the light is always off in that room......Once i attached my silcener to the backside of the box i made for window i was good to go......
Thing to think about when choosing an apartment > I purpusly Picked an apartment that was on the edge of the complex property line with a window facing back side of complx where No walking path was located...I also got 2ND floor so if someone did walk by like maintenance they wouldnt be able to walk up and hear the air coming out the window or try and see through the blinds with out a ladder .....plus any smell that did get out would be high up in the air and would be just blown away....also harder to hear the noise of the air if the person is standing 15 feet below the window rather than 3 feet right in front of them........Theres LOTs of things to consider when being stealthy in an aprtment .....Hope this give ya some ideas......
