10 kw in two tents!

Thought id share this organic tent grow. 2 tents 5kw a piece, 4 air cooled blockbuster hoods with a bare bulb in the middle. all ballasts are phantoms and bulbs are ushio, 14,000 btu commercial ideal air for each tent. sealed with co2 and atlas controllers.

Strain for this run is urkel single stalk 5 gallon tall pots (filled with roots) with a two week veg. currently the 8 air cooled lights are vegging and auto dim themselve to 600's.

after veg garage will be using a flip flop controller to run all 10 lights on 5 ballasts. one tent will be on for 12 the other on for 12. these flip flop controllers are a great tool when power is at a premium and heat is a concern.

first day flower today. pics taken last evening after switching from 4 600's vegging to 5 1000's for flower. this is the brightest room i have ever seen. a combination of the bare bulb in the center and 5k in total wattage in a 9'7" x 9'7" room. its like the surface of the sun in there!

ya know, one time I remember getting abducted by aliens , woke up in a room that was totally beyond my comprehension...wait , that was from that big ass dab, nvm...This room is even ...ummmm...MORE...superb setup

have you ever run this with a metal halide bulb hanging in the center? i have wanted to try adding a halide bulb to my flower room but that will have to wait for my next build, i can not currently handle the heat. your setup would be perfect for the experiment.... looks good in there friend.

Hey bud love the set up flip boxes are great!! Hey did you make sure that is a universal burn position hps?? One of my ushio mh bulbs burned out hella fast cuz I didn't pay attention to that

edit: topped the pots off with extra roots and a layer of castings. plants are crazy thick, saw some mutant nugs growing on fan leaves as well. fed biology with tbsp per gal molasses and 2 ml per gal top maxx. cant wait for the next set of pics!

In particular I'd love to see 1 tent with the MH and 1 tent with the HPS and see a comparison in the end.

Great looking setup. I can only dream of running that much light but I can def. foresee a tent in my future. :peace:
