i am running a HO T5 2 foot 8 bulb set up (happy with it)....running mix 4 3000k 4 6400k ...............i was ordering replacements so i could go photo with the free seeds they sent me (give it a try )
and i ran into 10,000k 2000 lumens bulbs ......was thinking of replacing the outside 2 bulbs and the inner 2 with this ...the 4 inner ones keep 6400/3000
has anyone used these on there autos .............1 plant in mid flowering 1 plant in starting flowering 3 plants 3rd week of veggie
doesnt the normal t5 put out 5000 lumens ?
i looked at the spectrum its very low red isane high green and alot of blue
would be interesting to see you figure it would work but the lower lumens would scare me normally
but after finally giving in to the led craze
i honestly could say it might work even with 3000 less lumens a tube
the 4 footers do.....even some little higher and even more choices of bulbs 5600 5800
the 2 footers are 2000 lumens with 3 choices of bulbs unless i looks at lights for coral and reefs (resreaching those now )
i am working in a 4x4 area it i put a 4 foot 8 bulb in there only leaves 2 clean air paths for the air to move tho the temp would be a little higher .......the 2 foot 8 bulb is perfect it covers half the area and leaves a foot on each side for wind to move around ......if i need more i can have them on the walls facing in leaves me 10 inchs all the way around for wind
it might be .........there are several different ones for that some are green light some are blue some are uv ..................i am not 100% sure but i think it is about 90%
that is a 5 bulb..........i am 16000 lumens plus on the side since part is not fully under the light 2 23 watt 1800l 65k and a 1500l 30k .............and a 9800l 65/30 mix if i need back up in later flowering
right now with autos if i can figure out a good set up i can just leave the in adjust timing little if i need be and let all go in there untill end
i have double checked all my books .........surfed the sites
yes this does count as coral lighting .................no none of the books even think about light wave getting that high from a t5 .......the rest of the books do all the spec graphs for the bulbs even some do graphs on the reflector shapes
but there is nothing on this .................does anyone have any exp messing around with this
you should just add some 30-50w warm white led spot lights there like 40 bucks and use these around your t-5 panel
there small so you can move them around easily
if you decide to go with the coral tubes then just add one at first
never know what kinda of harmful UV's it puts out might fry your plant
and thats way more green then you need

now this is a UV-A light i am just under that at the 10000k ....same maker just they do not have a 2 foot verison of the UV-A

10000k is really meant for aquariums, not any real benefit for growing land plants. The excess blue will help with keeping tight node space during veg phase but will be wasted once plants start to bloom.
