1- week Post-FIM training

Is this what a typical 1-week grow-out looks like after FIM training? Did I crop too high on the leaf?

That first pic looks like it may have 2 tops, i can’t really tell now.. have you considered topping?
I have considered. This was my first attempt. I was only reading that a full topping produces 2 - but if I FIM I could pull anywhere from 3-9. So I was just trying to get the best bang for my buck. I don't really know the pros and cons of either. Only that one, in the end, produces more bud sites.

more often than not i get multiple colas when topping, i gues this is due to me vegging a little longer and tying down branches after tipping this is the only one i have right now that ended up with 2 main colas everything else i have ended up with more. That last one has 8 colas each around the same size, i think i topped when it had nodes and topped it down to the 4th. By the time the new topps are forming the bottom side branches are catching up . After a few days i end up with a little bush that has 4 budding tops i then tie then back so that they aren’t too close to each other

FIMing is an interesting technique. You kinda have to hit it just right. I have seen some diagrams out there which give a good idea of where to cut and what's going on.

If you FIM too low, it acts just like a topping, but with some damaged leaves. That's what yours looks like to me. No biggie. You still broke apical dominance and will get a bushier plant out of it.

I tend to just top and super crop anymore. Depending on how the plant grows, I may top two or three times on the same plant (top, then top the two, then top the four).

I would recommend practicing different techniques to see what works for you. Above all, always listen to the plants.
