1 Male 1 Female and 1 Problem...

i have two plants in a single bucket (DWC), one of which i want to chop down. The problem i am perceiving is the rotting of the roots of the male which are tangled with the female.

Will this be a problem when i cut him down?

when you say, dont over water, i think you mis-understand my question. I will not be able to remove the root mass of the male plant because it is tangled up with the female's root mass. When i cut down the male, the root mass will be left behind and i am scared it will rot and affect my female. Should i be concerned?

looks like there is no problem. The girl is doing fine and there is a little bit of a stump that is left over from the male that secrets a bit of 'oooze', but everything seems fine

Thanks
