    There’s different treatments you can put on the seeds that will help with root development. It helps overcome root mass barriers.

    I should also note the liquid fertilizer I’m using has a very low salt index. If anyone is interested in trying some let me know. Analysis is 3-18-18 with 1% celated zinc (100% EDTA).

    I’ll be documenting the entire thing. I’m actually broadcasting burnt turkey litter over the top, then plowing it under. Followed by disking and finally a light digger to make the best seed bed. The micro nutrient package I foliar feed should help too.

    No need for lime. PH levels are are about perfect. The ground will be worked with a moldboard plow. Like I said, it’s as black of dirt as you will fine.     What are you adding to the soil? 3-18-18-1 zn blend of 100% ortho phosphate fertilizer. I’ll be spoon feeding the same blend with micros every 7 days after emergence.
