I went ahead and switched the potentiometer and got it working properly again.

I used viparspectra. It's actually what my cobs replaced. A 450w viparspectra. Did pretty good job I think. I have 2 450w in my big grow room. Actual watt is like 200. But I'm also putting a cob set up to compare them. So if you try it you won't be the only one.

Post some pics when your done. I've been searching for grows that are going on at the moment but can't find many that are with cobs. And same here. Experimenting to see how they work out. I was stressing when I was putting mine together. Smoke But not too much to keep calm lol

My tent is 24"x24" I made my frame 20"x20". I did add dimmer on it and have it at 50w and 18" to 20" from the plants.

So after a couple attempts and it would not turn on. I finally got it. Now it's up and running and it looks very nice. How far from the plants should they be they are 7 days old

So today my parts came in and after a couple of tries, I got it to turn on. I'll post a picture when the lights come on. I hung them up while lights where off. Thanks for all the help you guys provided

Really them I did those wrong I'll have to re do it. I put positive then neg. But it came to a stop. One of my bjb holders clip on the back broke. So it was not touching the cob which made them or turn on. So now ordered another and some extras. Have to wait. But I tried my 2 cob kit and...

Yes I am but have solid Core. On the potentiometer, positive goes first then neg right. And the 3rd is left alone

Cobs seem very interesting. My kits should be here hopefully tomorrow. I'm currently using cfls for my 3 new seeds. 4-32w making 96w.

I used a 450w vipar and did decent with it in my 2x2 tent. So can't really talk bad about it but I know there's better lights which I bought 2 cob kits. 2 cobs at 150w and 4cobs to get 200w max. Will dim it and start at half.

And if someone could let me know if I would need to buy a taller tent as mine is only 4ft or could I grow short ones with this?

6 cobs in a 2x2. Seems like a lot. But one kit was going in my bigger grow room to compare side by side with a other led panel that I have.

So the light has to be atleast 12" from reaching ceiling in my tent? If so then I will have to buy a other tent. Mine is only 4ft tall. I'm not trying to make huge plants. That's what I have my 6x6 shed room for. Could I grow small plants in a 4ft tall with cobs. Or will that be a bit too much...
