I've heard the pro-tekt needs to set in the water before testing for PH. At least for a few minutes.

I would think if you were worried about exterior noise of the grow space, that you could insulate the outside of the fan as well to minimize noise.. wrap the fan in a cast like material. Perhaps a thin layer of foam and tape. Material would sound dampen as well as regulate temperatures. You'd...
