    supplemental Lighting UV-A/B and IR?

are there any stand alone chips for IR or UV that are recommended and tested? I had my frequencies messed up , thanks for clearing that up! Using Vero29 3000K 80cri cobs I am contemplating adding some small LED blues (450nm) Also thinking of UV and IR LED's Any recommendations on LEDs in...

    supplemental Lighting UV-A/B and IR?

What kind of supplemental lighting is recommended when running 3000K COBs? I am looking into some UVA LEDs and some IR (450nm) LEDs It looks like UVB LEDs are pricey or nonexistent? How much wattage should I be looking into adding to my grow? 5-10% of my total output? THanks!

12v .5Amp Fan with resistor on 2.1Amp ciruit?

This is what I was expecting to hear! Thanks!

12v .5Amp Fan with resistor on 2.1Amp ciruit?

I am following you now. Atleast 95% haha Thanks ALot! So next question, If I wired in 3x 9V .1A fans (with 1.7Kohm resistor) in series along with the 3x 52V 1.8A Vero29 Gen 7 wired in series, all together. Using the single HLG-320H-C1750 Driver This circuit would pull 183V @ 1750mA give you...

12v .5Amp Fan with resistor on 2.1Amp ciruit?

I will research the thermal runway effect I do understand the basics of voltage and amperage and parallel/series and CC CV, but those characteristics are what get me So for an example: If you have 3x Vero29 Gen 7 Type B (1.8A @ 52V) wired in series on a HLG-320H-C1750 driver This would pull...

12v .5Amp Fan with resistor on 2.1Amp ciruit?

What keeps the COBs from going Kablooey :P if too much voltage when using a constant current driver?

12v .5Amp Fan with resistor on 2.1Amp ciruit?

Can you install a 12V fan that pulls .5amps on a 2.1amp circuit with a ~1.5ohm resistor installed before the fan? Assume you have plenty of voltage left in your circuit.

    Vero29 Gen 7 Type B in parrallel?

I see where it does say the Veros are not recomended in parallel. So if in Series which driver would you recomend? HLG-320H-C2100 or HLG-320H-C1750 I was wanting to run them on the 2100 (so I could turn them up later if I wanted) but the max voltage for this driver is 154V 3x COBs in series...

    Vero29 Gen 7 Type B in parrallel?

I understand the HLG-320H-54 will blow up a single chip because of the amperage. (which drives voltage) But it will run 3x 52V Vero29's in parallel correct? At max drive it would run at 1.983Amps and 54V correct? The Vero's can't handle this?

    Vero29 Gen 7 Type B in parrallel?

What is Bin referring to then? It is the color output correct? I was thinking of this wrong before now. Thanks for clearing that up! haha I am looking at the spec sheet for the new type B gen 7 Vero29 and do not see the tolerance on voltages. I am not sure it is going to matter in the end? They...

    Vero29 Gen 7 Type B in parrallel?

Is there any problem running three Vero29 Gen 7 Type B in paralllel? I had read a thread about someone talking about Vero's not being binned and therefore the voltages could be too far apart/different with each COB to be run in parallel? If I run this set up with an HLG-320H-54 will it run the...

    Driver for 3x Vero29 Gen7 type B?

Or would a HLG-320H-54 be better for this? 3x COBS wired in parallel This would allow it to run at 1.983Amps max per COB At this amperage, the COB will pull about 53V each I think? This seems alot better. Is there any reason to go the 1st route? I read that some Veros are not within close...

    Driver for 3x Vero29 Gen7 type B?

Hey, Can someone help me with which driver to choose for 3x Vero29 Gen7 type B (1.8A @ 52V) HLG-320H-C2100 is rated for 76-152V (154V max) and 2.1A 3x COB's wired in series @ 52V each = 156V Will this overload the driver at 156volts? I see overload protection @ 160-175V What will this...

    What are the pros/cons between 38.7V, 52V, and 69.4V

That is what i thought! Watts is Watts, and anything past that is just efficiency... correct? Efficiency will tell you the amount of heat it will produce, but after than what are the differences? Alot of the other combinations seem to not be at the prime "sweet" spots of the Drivers either...

    What are the pros/cons between 38.7V, 52V, and 69.4V

Thanks! And that is what I plan to do soon! But I still would love to learn the theory/reasoning on why some people are doing it other ways So what is the main difference when running high voltage/low current verse low voltage/high current?

    What are the pros/cons between 38.7V, 52V, and 69.4V

Hey everyone, Can someone explain the pros/cons between the Vero29's Gen 7 COBs (Why pick one over the other B/C/D?) In a 2' x 2' cabinet, shooting for a a range of 200-400 watts (dim-able capabilities) Max of 4 COBs, and 1 Driver initially unless someone can show me why not. The plan is 4x...
