Great thread. I too am looking at using a loft. Could you used drip irrigation & maybe link it to soil moisture monitors ? You can get quite cheap domestic watering systems that work automatically.

I am monitoring my attic temps daily. I think that the key is to vary the temperature of the intake air. I have a cooler unit which I might integrate into the system. I don't plan to start growing until the winter so I have time to work out the best solution before the summer.

Yes I am aware of that but it's a perfect secure space. I plan to use tents so I won't try to control the temp of the whole attic but just inside the tent. I am thinking of varying the air input depending on the ouside temperature. If it's cold then draw fresh air from the house, when it's hot...

Not quite that old but getting close & it was a classic typo I wish that I had studied pants like that :) Blood & bone was banned in a lot of countries after mad cow disease. You can still get it here but I have never heard of commercial sacks. You only use small amounts of it as it's there...

It's a serious issue & a dead giveaway. I have given a lot of thought to it including carbon filters etc. You are bound to get desensitised.

So a total newbie here living in the wonderful West. I am seriously considering setting up a grow room in my attic. If I wanted to sell wholesale would it be easy to find a buyer ? I am very security concious & have a situation where I could grow long term & provide an income in my old age :)
