None of the Rupublicans mentioned were/are conservative.And to be honest, we've had horrible presidents for the past several decades. Most have contributed a good thing or two in or out of office, but overall, they've sucked.

Alot. I think he's focusing on the definition as it applies to GDP exclusively. But in this era of Wallstreet welfare it's a bit inaccurate. It kinda ignores the bigger picture IMO. Just like the official unemployment numbers.

Just because the govt. says it, doesn't mean it's true. What economic signs show that the recession is over. Unemployment is going up (there's no such thing as a jobless recovery). The stimulus package didn't help.

I was no fan of Bush myself, but..people voted for change. Obama took us from bad to worse. Is this the change everyone wanted?

Unless I'm mistaken, I think that's what the compromise is. However much we raise the debt ceiling, we cut an equal amount in overall spending. There's plenty of waste out there that can be cut.
