in the res do you use an air stone. not that you have to but if you do it will increase DO which will fix overwatering problem. another option is cooling res down to 20 C wich increases the DO capacity of the water
personally using watering cycle that gives cyclying water for an hour and dry for...
specifically it is usually dominated by a few ions like Na+, K+,Mg2+, Ca2+, Cl-, sulfate, bicarbonate, carbonate, and silica. ideally depending on your res size you want to be around 900 and 1500 ppm:bigjoint: makes for happy buds
one option is ditch the dirt and grow hydro.
but really the plant is overwatered you need to let the soil dry up to the point that if you put your finger in the dirt until you reach your first knuckle you feel no moisture then it is ready for more water
no plugs i am tough just pick them up and dump it out. usally i just switch the lids between prepared res's . for the res tanks i just took rubbermaid containers and painted them black to prevent light exposure to water and roots
i used a box of ph down mix that said "acid" but i think you can use vinegar just as easily but it may mess up nitrate overload or may leave residual taste in buds, no need for me to use a ph up because our tap water already runs on the akaline side
Problem resolved the plant died completely in...
nice setup weedman. good luck with the plants are they flowering now or are they at the end of veg? where did you get your light and how much did it run you?
hey pirate being following the thread for awhile wow you have came along ways and learned much. i am posting some pics of simple hydro op i got going. please share any questions comments or concerns about what i got going here.
all the plants shown in the pictures are vegging the mother plants are kept in a different location . part of a new cultivation coop between several farmers. the strains inthe picture are newberry, ak-48, and nothern lights had cherryslider but did not do well due to overwatering from res tank...
here's some pics of an op i am working on right now. just posting it to address any questions, comments, or concerns any other growers may have feel free for constructive criticism
From what i know you need the roots to be exposed to 5mg/L
and yeah i got a DO test kit because i am having root problems
i know the problem is that my resevoir is nearly 80 degrees so DO is hard to sustain
is there a better way to cool the resevoir then cooling the whole room down
