Take a look at what I did just today with my CFL's. I made a reflector with sheet metal and put 5 bulbs under it. Link to the thread is in my sig

I believe I read that the ideal amount of light for flowering is 5000-6000 lumens per sq.foot. Also, I would get some kind of light reflector around your bulb. You lose lumens when the light can get out in 360 degrees. P.S. I like how the festive reflector turned out haha

Haha ok - was blown away by the growth with those first pics of your lights. Im glad to hear you are having success with CFL's. I just made a DIY reflector today using CFL's - still waitin to see what people think.

Lookin good. I started some bag seed too and its coming along a lot like yours did. Aside from the sock I put it threw from learning how to light my box and water properly :P. I may have missed this, but are you still growing under those two small lights?

I had some of that white powdering as well but at the time my humidity was very very low. Like 30-40. It also happened after i sprayed my seedlings for the first time. It sort of wiped off with my finger. My guess was some residue after the water evaporated from the leaf - minerals or whatever...
