Thanks for all the info guys. I think I'm gunna go with two 54W T5's since that would amount to 10,000 lumens which is perfect for the area I plan to keep the mother plants. I might go with just a few CFLs for the clones though. Trying to keep the total wattage as low as possible.

You can buy dollar store wrapping paper and use the shiny reflective side...cheapest mylar around.

If I bought 100W per plant in CFLs that would be the same power consumption as a 400W MH bulb. I don't see the advantage other than heat issues with the MH. Would a 250W MH do better than 300-400W of CFLs?

That's another thing I was unsure about. I read somewhere to use 100W for one plant and an additional 50W per plant. Is that using the altered rating on the CFL bulb or the Incandescent equivalent? I was planning on getting about 8 CFLs in the 26W range about 2-3 per plant.

I grow in soil so I wouldn't know. Generally, the bigger the plant gets the more water it needs.

Well, technically, flushing is not the same as watering without nutes. I usually water my plants with regular water every other watering. If you want to flush your plants (assuming you're growing in soil), take them to the bathtub and water them until you see some runoff coming from the holes...

Also, you wouldn't have to spray the buds, just the leaves where u see eggs and bugs.

Click on the pic of the bottle, you'll see it says organic gardening. I also found this spray at a local hydroponics store, the guy there told me its ok to use. Still, if you don't wanna spray diatomaceous earth might work. Look it up on wiki.

Not all pesticides are necessarily harmful, for instance this is the stuff i use clicky clicky. If you still don't want to spray anything on your plants, you might consider looking into diatomaceous earth.
