Well I have a 400 hps now, but it dosent seem like its working as good as the flood light, incandescent and candles. It seems to have stopped growing upwards and now just the leaves are growing. Im trying to get my plant as tall as possible for the biggest yield. Im aiming for about 2 pounds off...

I have a 400w hps, im wondering how far to put it from the plant? My plant is stretching and the light is about 16 to 14 inches away.

Its in veg right now and I turn the light off at different hours of the day. its 1 and a half weeks old. thanks

Will my plant be a hermie if its in veg and I change the time of the lighting everyday? Like say one day I had it off for 8 hours from 12-8, and the next day I have it off for 8hrs from 4-12?? thanks
