My first grow and tips for other newbs

lol, thanks! No I haven't any pics as of yet, they are soon to follow. I'm still technically in my flowering, but the last stretch. Figured I was trying a bunch of things and I should share them while it was all fresh in my head. Once I harvest I'll make sure to share!

My first grow and tips for other newbs

Before I start I want to say a few thank you's. First off to rollitup. Seriously, all you newbies out there wanting to ask questions, but are afraid of getting flamed, JUST ASK! I have made a handful of posts and even a thread asking for help and I never read anything but helpful and positive...

Stem looks purple/black, did I bruise my plant?

Thank you to all that helped me! I lowered the light, lowered the PH to the 6.2-6.4 range, tied them up, buried them a bit deeper and put a bigger fan on them. The purple section is still there, but above it the stems grew in very thick and brightly colored. Minus a little dropping in the plant...

Stem looks purple/black, did I bruise my plant?

From the comments I have read about bending, I was too cautious with the light. It was too high, so the plants basically outstretched themselves. I lowered it, tied them up, and put a better fan on them, so hopefully the stems will get stronger.

Stem looks purple/black, did I bruise my plant?

OK, you definitely confirmed something I was thinking. They were getting top heavy and falling, I wasn't exactly sure what was going on, but the stems seemed too thin and lanky compared to the tops. After reading other comments about plants [over]stretching to reach their light source, I was...

Stem looks purple/black, did I bruise my plant?

OK, that makes me feel a ton better! Right now I don't see any grey spots, and one plant the leaves are a little droopy compared to the other. Other than the discolored section on the stem, they seem healthy. I do check the PH, but I didn't know that you would see physical signs like that...

Stem looks purple/black, did I bruise my plant?

Alright, thanks. Just paranoid since it's my first grow. If the top were to die off, should I just cut it from the dark color up and hope it will regrow?

Stem looks purple/black, did I bruise my plant?

Look at the top portion of the stem, it's a different color than the bottom. I'll link another picture.

Stem looks purple/black, did I bruise my plant?

My plants are very young, about 2 weeks old. They started falling over like they were top heavy and the stems at the bend were turning white. So I lowered the light source and tied them up to a stick to hold them up. I thought I tied them up gently, the leafs still look green, but above the tie...

    Hydro Watering Advice

Yea that is one thing I've noticed on almost every post about growing, easy on the nuts. Thanks for the tip, lowering the water now. Edit: So until roots are sprouting, when watering I want the rockwool to get damp, just not soaked right?

    Hydro Watering Advice

OK got ya. Right now the fill line is actually about an inch above the net pot, and I have just the bottom rim of the rockwool touching the water line so it'll soak up. For the feeding, I'm guessing since I'm lowering the water line, splash it with a mixture of nutrients?

    Hydro Watering Advice

Hello, So if you look at my signature you can see what I have set up per plant (only 1 light shared between both). The Grow bucket was bought already made from a hydroponic store complete with the nets, pre-drilled air tube hole, as well as a drain nozzle. The "kit" also came with the air pump...
