I was told not to use the amount ff asks for. I was told to use half or a quarter of it is this correct?

This is its third week or so right now. So when I feed it 2 teaspoon of big bloom and 1 teaspoon of grow big can I pour them both in the same gallon to conserve space or is it mandatory to keep them in seperate gallons?
