I have a digital 250w in a closet just a hair bigger than your and I could have gone bigger because I have good air circulation so it doesn't got too hot. so either a 400w if you can figure a way to vent it well in the closet or a 250w should be no problem.

I just have two 9" tilt circulating fans mounted on the walls.

I have a 400w with a built in ballast in a closet that is 2' x 3' and 6 feet high and I had to get a bigger fan to keep it cool. I believe you have the same one I do and it is rated for a 3'x3' space without getting too hot.

This is a young plant in a deep water culture under a 250 watt hps light is a closet with great air flow. I have 3 other young plants that do not have this problem which is only on the lower leaves. any suggestions? thanks.
