    Leaf darkening mystery

Thanks for the info. I needed to hear that confirmation. It's was a battle with the wind. On one hand I should accept that the darker color is a healthy sign and on another hand, I think my actual problem is more likely the high temps and high VPD. I am working on an additional air conditioning...

    Leaf darkening mystery

Some more images from around week 5-6. Strain is Cookies Gelato from Royal Queen seeds. This particular grow turned out fine, but I've had much worst in the past.

    Leaf darkening mystery

Thank you all for the answers, I will provide some more information that will hopefully help you identify the problem. This is a SOG, no training grow, 4 weeks growing and 9 weeks flowering. I use organic base nutrients from Plagron. Alga Grow NPK (4-2-4) in growing stage (3-4 weeks). Plagron...

    Leaf darkening mystery

Can someone confirm that plants can actually look light green by the end of flowering - weeks 8-9? With all my experience of more than 20 grows, I have never been able to keep them light green by the end. What are your observations?

    Leaf darkening mystery

Could it be caused by too high VPD too early in flower. I do control VPD and in week 4-5 it gets to 1.2-1.3. Could plants get too much nitrogen due to enhanced water absorbtion. I do grow at 30 degrees Celsius, around 65% humidity in week 5 specifically.

    Leaf darkening mystery

By week 5 of flower I am only giving them 0.3-0.4 ml/L CalMag. I doubt this can cause an issue.

    Leaf darkening mystery

Someone should be able to recognize this, and it happens on a repetitive base, with different strains. Right around week 4-5, there is a sudden darkening of the canopy that happens literally overnight. One day they are all light green and lime and the next they get dark and remain that way...

Stunted growth - a repeating problem I can not solve.

Beginning of week 3 flowering, I couldn't be more satisfied with the overall improvement. I now water 1.7L every 4-5 days in 9 liters medium and they love it all the time. Thanks again to all that helped me figure this out!

Stunted growth - a repeating problem I can not solve.

It is difficult to tell if removing lower leaves is beneficial. With my problems in the past I looked beneficial since plants really improved after removing leaves, at least for a couple of days, but now that I water properly it might have the opposite effect.

Stunted growth - a repeating problem I can not solve.

Now that things finally took off I can will try to keep 28-30 degrees and around 70-80% RH. I think those ranges will be fine. Since I fixed the watering everything seems to new to me, all previous conclusion I've made were based on stunted plants, so now I will have to reapply a lot of the...

Stunted growth - a repeating problem I can not solve.

Things are going amazingly well. Plants got lighter color, started growing and generally look healthy. This is a picture a day after I watered with 1.6L, completely soaking the plant to little runoff. Before I would consider this overwatering but now I realize I've been torturing those plants...

Stunted growth - a repeating problem I can not solve.

Thanks for the info. Yesterday I watered 0.5L and waited about 20 min, then watered another 1L. Then gave them some time, some of them had run off others didn't. I then added another 0.1L to those that didn't have runoff and left it there. So I can assume 1.6L is about enough to soak the whole...

Stunted growth - a repeating problem I can not solve.

Basically the day I see a few plants that have started to wilt, I will water them just enough so they can wait until the next day, and give other plant an additional day to dry out. The next day I water all of them together till a little runoff. The run off is required just so that I know I have...

Stunted growth - a repeating problem I can not solve.

Hi there, Thanks for the input. I use Plagron lightmix which is preloaded with mineral food for about 1 week, just enough to starts the seedlings. Then from week too I start feeding with the Alga Grow organic nutrient which creates the organic environment without the need of extra...

Stunted growth - a repeating problem I can not solve.

Just wanted to shared the result of following your advices. Only two slow waterings with a liter, 3 days apart and plants started growing and showing great improvement. I knew I was missing somethings basic, but never thought that watering will be the key here. Next, I will slow water till a...

Stunted growth - a repeating problem I can not solve.

I am not so concerned about my ability to determine when the pot is light or heavy. I was just getting the whole dry/wet cycle concept wrong. Thanks for the info though!

Stunted growth - a repeating problem I can not solve.

Thanks for the advice, Thanks for the info, I am already thinking in the direction. Those short wet/dry cycle I was doing seem to really be the issue here. For the moment I can not afford to change the pots but I will add some more holes on the sides as a compromise. I will also add some more...

Stunted growth - a repeating problem I can not solve.

Actually I've just decided on a new path, will change the saucers with plastic ones and won't add elevators. With the new way of watering more and waiting for complete dry there will be a lot of runoff (through soil cracks) and I will be filling the saucer without the plant being able to absorb...

Stunted growth - a repeating problem I can not solve.

I didn't think of that. Good point. I will find some PVC square pipe instead and cut two pieces for each saucer. Will possibly change the saucers in the future.

Stunted growth - a repeating problem I can not solve.

I will elevate them, won't hurt. I agree about the temps, I was aiming at 29 degrees in veg and around 30 in flower, but then with all issues and unhealthy plants I've reduced it a but although I run C02 in flower at around 1200ppm. Perlite and more holes are already in my list.
