Thanks so much, i can see improvement by the hour. Some of the biofilmy looking rootballs are now regenerating white hairy shoots also and there is a bubbly film gathering on the sides of the res at the tide mark now. My plants were showing overwatering symptoms which i guess is what happens...

Also i forgot to say i found dead flies in my res a couple of weeks back all cocooned in brown gunk, fucking disgusting it was. i've now sealed my res and cleaned it and ran pythoff (chlorine). Could the flies have introduced the infection? res temps are a steady 68f. Thanks again.
