    True HP Aero For 2011

Sorry to hear that. Hope you get to feeling better soon- Don't know what BPD is, but it sounds serious. Wishing you well, and have fun in Europe. Good idea to just leave it all behind for a while.

Man this thread flatlined- I've been enjoying watching the back and forth here for months- Where you at TB?

Cool. What I would do, is get a 3" hole saw and some 8 oz solo cups- smaller than the regular ones. In any case, you need cups that would sit in whatever diameter hole you are making in the bottom of the bucket. Carefully tip your bucket on it's side, and then use a 3" hole saw to carefully...

Cover them up then you bitch!

The way I see it is this- if you hang them out, expect some attention. But it is never too much to expect at least some courtesy. What's going on here though, is more than one thing. A: She wants the attention, but only from those she desires it from. However, this feeds her second and...

I'd make an SIP, or sub irrigated planter. You can find many examples of these, under various names like "earth bucket" on the web. Basically, It's one 5 gal bucket inside another, but the inner one has a 3" hole in the bottom, in which you place a solo cup or similar, with some holes poked in...

FWIW, I have always relied on the aquatec $20 pressure switches, and they have neither failed nor required any water hammer arrestor. I've used them in several setups, and never had the solenoid closing shock wave trip the switch, thought the same shock wave can really make the pipes jump if...

I'm starting to realize that growth speed is the product of an interaction between grower, conditions, and method. Basically, I don't think any one "method" is the fastest, it's a combination of several factors that all must work together. HP aero is certainly a contender for the fastest...

My Aquatec brand switch works fine, and the same guts are built into my demand pump from them. Both do wander a tiny bit but it doesn't matter, they are adjustable to above your regulator pressure and that's all that matters. I'm going back to Bubble Buckets for a while, to get some relief...

Cool, I'd like to see that. I agree that timer is plenty useable. I might play with one some day, but my own experiments with aero have yet to give me the plants I want. I think I'm going to run BBs next time to see if they just produce fatter plants- my (extremely limited) experience says...

I knew that hing was a little too good to be true- I almost ordered one. So if you use the .1 second on times, you are limited to a max of 1 minute, 39 seconds off. That might work for some, and you can always go 1 second on, then whatever you want off. But somehow I knew that timer wasn't...

Goddamnit this site isn't like that other one- just ate my post- But in a nutshell, I said: -Don't worry about running 138 psi in that filter, if it fails it will either leak at the joint or the top edge of the bowl will crack. Not likely to experience catastrophic failure. -Why do you want...

The 8800 does have an internal bypass, which you can set by turning the hex screw on the front of the pump with a little driver. Don't crank it down really hard or you could damage it, but you can tighten it for higher pressure.

That's great news on the switch, which one was it? I'll add it to the favorites. Just switch to the tefen nozzles, problem solved. I feel like I get great mist at 60 psi, and that really lets your system relax a bit. It appears that they are both 1/8 npt, so you could just swap them. Get...

Neat! So is the point of that to be able to run the entire system (other than lights) without any motive power except for air pressure? What about timers? You clearly have a lot of experience and I'd love to check out your system. Looked at your posts. . . Didn't see a journal. Anyway man I...

Also, that 422 timer looks to be the shit. I looked for months and went a different way- octal bases and all that sounded like electronics, something I don't do well. However, I'm up against limitations with all three of my timers, (art dne, grozone knockoff of same, and a din-style valve...

Hey Trichy, I like your deck box, insulated res and control chamber. How are you going to arrange the misters inside, or whatever? What have you got going on for mist delivery?

Whew! Glad about that. I just read this entire thread, having been lured here by r0m30. Just as I was getting to the very end, some new guys show up and then there's flame war. I was worried this very thread would end just as I arrived, as have basically all the previous aero threads. I've...
