Yea so i suppose the fluctuations of the ph will cause a mg def as well. I really didn't want to shell out 80 bucks for digital ph meter but i'm not sure if those droplets are cuttin it. Anyone know of a good deal on something like that?

Well the reason why i flushed was to get the ph balanced again from the previous feeding. From what i understand, Iron lockout is usually caused by ph being to high, so adding Ironite would be useless if the plants can't absorb it due to lockout. I haven't added any lime to any of my mixes yet...

I've actually sent out an e-mail to hydrofarm and they said that it is most likely the transformer. Went out to one of their retailers for the repair and even got a loaner light for the time being. Really happy with the customer service.

Exactly, the ballast is contained inside the hood and the bulb has had about 2 grows on it. The label says to use a 430w hps bulb, so I don't think that I've been making the light work any harder than it should. The odd thing is the smell that is coming from the vent, it kind of like smells...
