Do you use a contactor with you're 600w light Harrekin or just a timer? I bought a Grasslin timer over at Bloom&Grow which I was told would be fine to just plug the ballast straight into the timer and timer into wall outlet. But searching around on the forums a lot of guys are saying a 600w...

I thought maybe the plants being 12 inches from a non-air-cooled light would be too hot for them but obviously not. I just bought 2 air-cooled reflectors and I'm growing seperate from my house in a shed...probably should have just bought a couple of them batwing reflectors or whatever their called.

Sounds like my TT150 is gonna be a noisy bugger then. Me thinks I'll be buying a quieter fan so, I have my eye on this baby, she's a little pricey but I'm better off paying a bit more now than getting headaches down the line. I can just imagine the TT coming on at 3 in the morning when you can...

Its the 6" one. I got the fan, filter, 2 600w lumatec ballasts, 2 powerplant bulbs, 2 air cooled reflectors (not cooltubes) and some ducting. I've decided to set up a 200x200x200cm tent inside the 8ft x 8ft insulated shed to give me more control over environment and dampen noise from fans...
