low budget closet op with CFLs

I used two seperate small closets for my grow, which consisted of 6 plants, cloned 3 weeks apart. For my veg closet (doubled as a cloning space) I used a small desktop fan blowing away from the plants, a humidifier (we had a dry winter), 4 seperate 2500 lumen daylight CFL bulbs from hanging...

Want to Know If Your Plants are Finished?

Have you done that in the past? I was thinking about doing that also but was worried it might kill the plant.

Want to Know If Your Plants are Finished?

Any ideas why I might be looking at 12-14 week flower periods? I realize it varies by strain to some degree but this is kind of ridiculous. Should I maybe play around with nutrient levels some?

Newbie with a Rough Situation but a Hopeful Plan. Please Help!

I've never done a box grow like this but I am having a really difficult time imagining being able to restrain a plant's growth to these dimensions. Even with a scrog. That just seems like too little space to be working with. I'm the first to admit I am very biased but I'd suggest finding a...

Should you cut off fan leaves during flowering

A lot of this depends on the size of your plant as well. A small plant you pushed through a short veg cycle will have less leaves and therefore depend more heavily on each one. By the time my indicas are halfway through flower they are 5-6ft tall and I can cut a number of leaves off them without...

    Can it work?

The bulbs I use are relatively cheap. I keep two 2700 lumen bulbs on plants under 1 foot tall. Think they are about $12 each. Seems to work well. When they go past a foot or so I start adding spot lighting to cover different angles.

Haiku - 5 foot indoor, think they are almost ready to go, how do they look? (pics)

Yep, without being able to see the trichs its very difficult to say but I would guess you're within a week of harvest. Very nice job, some very healthy looking plants you have there.

    buds dont smell good

You sure there's no mold? Some molds give off funky odors as well. I highly suggest hepa filtering your grow room. I have from day one and have never regretted it.

    Automatic irrigation/ nutrient delivery system

Checked out that oasis one. Apparently it's a gravity feed system, so you have to put the reservoir above the plants and let it sort of drain into them. From what I have heard they seem to have issues with the drain valve becoming stuck shut as well.

    Automatic irrigation system

I designed a system recently that can be adapted to water 4-6 plants for up to a week at a time between reservoir refilling. It can be set to water daily up to 8 times, every other day, only on certain days of the week and at whatever times you would like. Thinking of selling them for around...

This is a rough diagram of the inside of the housing.

    Automatic irrigation/ nutrient delivery system

I'll try to upload some soon. There's not a lot to see though unfortunately. It's a rubbermaid roughneck reservoir with a wooden box sitting on top. Coming out of the box is a power cord and an irrigation tube. The tube leads into a splitter that runs into 4 smaller lines that lead into the...

    Infrared light effect sleep time???

It really shouldn't. IR light isn't a part of the visible spectrum that plants use. Try it out and if you are noticing your plants are lagging behind when it comes flower time you will know. Even if it were to set you back 2 weeks its an easy problem to solve and does no long term damage.

    Automatic irrigation/ nutrient delivery system

Just went over that linked post again. The big differences between mine and that one are that you could potentially water an entire grow room with one unit as opposed to having to use a seperate system for each pot, mine comes with a psi regulator to allow for the use of a huge variety of...

    Automatic irrigation/ nutrient delivery system

Similar probably. I have been using mine for about 2 weeks now to water 4 clones once a day. I set a microspray nozzle up on a stake at the base of each plant. Seems like the water has been holding up for about a week at a time before I need to refill. Kind of nice to only have to mess with...
