Zap buds in microwave for few seconds, should kill off any bugs and save your buds

Males originally unkown. Killed males from this batch early on but bagged some male flowers to save some pollen. Was gonna put baggy over one or two buds down low and give a little shake.

New to site and first time grower. Have read all I could on subject. girls are 7-8 weeks along into floral stage. Trichs appear to still be clear to somewhat cloudy. Got seeds from friend who grew in same climate last year. started to flower in late july. Any advice on when to chop would be great.
