Preparing my hole for something big

I tilled in leaf leaf mulch and compost for two years before I built bottomless raised beds on top of it.Some of My raised beds are fruit bins and and others are 4’x12’ beds made of 2x10’s and I’ve filled them with my mix of living soil. So I guess I can’t speak what the clay soil is under that...

    Pre flower trimming

I agree with Hugo. My pre-flowering routine is to trim up the bottom of the plant and then take at least the first two nodes off of each branch closest to the stem. And if a branch seems like to too crowded, I’ll remove every other node going up a branch. Thats what I do, works for me!

Preparing my hole for something big

It can be done with clay, but for my grow I just dug it out! For my yard and other garden areas I mixed it with compost, but it takes a lot of time to turn clay soil in to something decent.

    Pruning for bigger buds.

I always grow WAY more than I need and end up giving away pounds every year, I also keep plenty of pre-rolls handy and If I see someone in need, or a gas station attendant (Oregon) washes my windshield I tip them a joint or two. I’m thinking of dedicating one plant to do some fairly extreme...

    doublejj's 2024 adventure

I’m in north central Oregon and that’s what I do! I give it to friends, barter it when I can. Stuff that I grew 10 years ago and sold to medical dispensaries I was getting $1,400-$1,700 a unit for. Now maybe $400. So I pack raw straws and give them away as tips if a gas station attendant...

How do you outdoor growers do it?

I don’t wash my bud. I grow in living soil and use companion plants, for pest control I have had no PM, very little bud rot or pest issues since shifting to this method of growing. I also grow strains that do well in my climate. I’m in the PNW in north central Oregon in a dry climate but we do...

    doublejj's 2024 adventure

What are your prices per unit down there, it’s so bad here in OR and WA I’d rather give it to my friends and screw over the dispensaries than try to sell it.

    What’s up with this?

Humboldt Dream 12’ tall x 8’ wide beauty. All of my plants are in rich organic soil 3 in raised beds with no bottom. This plant does have clay soil about 12” under my mixed soil that’s been enriched for the second year. Several tops are turning a lighter green and Looks to be getting burned...

    Tops dying issue.

this is happening to two of four plants, it’s affecting 4-5 tops out of plants with 10-12 tops. So far I’ve just cut back about 6” below the lowest affected leaves. The only thing I can think of is a borer, but I’m in Oregon and that doesn’t seem to be an issue here, I can’t find a hole...

Bud Enhancers- beat taste, strength, flavor

I used to use a bunch of different deadrients. About 3 years ago I switched to making my own super soil. I add neem seed meal in my soil as well as my compost tea, Since I started mixing my own soil and feeding the microorganisms I’ve had no pests, haven’t sprayed anything on my plants. What...
