    Clone Troubles

Ive been having trouble with my clone success rate lately and Im not sure whats causing it. The first few sets of clones went in fine and rooted in about two weeks. The subsequent sets of clones did not wilt at first, but the bark on the stems that are in the bucket get slimy, Id say rot, but it...

    soil scent of chlorine?

Letting the water sit out for a day or so before you water your plants would allow all the clorine to evaporate. Ive read that the amount of chlorine that they put in municipal water systems is negligable when it comes to watering plants. No evidence to back that up though. If your a...

    soil scent of chlorine?

Chlorine is volatile and evaporates out of a solution very quickly. Even if the water you used two days ago had a lot of chlorine in it I dont think there would be any still dissolved after two days. Water coming out of the bottom of your bucket... Maybe there is a hole? Light brown dirt...

male flowers on female plants 4 weeks in flowering

Zero light is best, but if you think about it, in nature, the plants are exposed to the light of the full moon. The plants turning hermi could be either from the genetics, or the conditions in your grow area.

    Topping?

Cutting the top of the plant just doesnt seem right to me. I dont see how damaging the plants main attempt at reproduction enables it to genenerate more bud than it would have if left fully intact. Wouldnt evolution have favored two main colas if that was a better way to use the plants...

Nutrient Solution to use with cloning bucket

Is it ok to use full strength nutrient solution when propagating clones? I use Ionic Grow at a concentration of about 1250ppm for my mother plant and it would be easiest to tie my micromister cloning bucket into the existing nutrient solution. The alternative is to maintain the pH, nutrients...

First post at RIU! Veg problem. Plants "stunted"

Thanks man, but I already know its too hot, and I never said I havent enjoyed the fruits of my labor. ;) Im asking if anyone else has experienced this, or if someone knew for sure that high temps cause the plants to dwarf during the vegatitive stage. I would buy what I needed to cool the rooms...

First post at RIU! Veg problem. Plants "stunted"

Hi everyone. Ive been growing for around 9 months now and I have a greater appreciation for all the skilled growers out there. The issue I have, and it doesnt happen to all the plants, is some plants never really take off. They remain short and just get bushier. The leaves look fine as far as...
