what is a cheap way to control the oder a really cheap way im kinda tight on money

ok i have a quest when should in start the flowering stage on the plaints i have dont really know when to start it but im growing in a closet im using spot grow lights from lows 120 w i was told to go ahead and start flowing but i wanna make sure they are about 10 inch and some of the other are...

i'm hoping these pots are fine...we had to transplant them out of the two-liters b/c they were getting root bound. The roots were actually rather long.

Thanks for all the advice...this is the first batch, so i guess it's all about trial and error...think next time we're gonna try to go hydroponic.

the ones in the pictures are the ones that are receiving the 2 120 watt spot grow lights...there are 9 plants in that area.
