    Is silica in a closet very bad for plants? I put one in with my plants to get rid of humidity and I think that is what dried them out. Since I moved it into another room the plants perked up http://www.spacesavers.com/keepitdry.html

    Repped, thanks guys. So no washing off the roots or anything? The reason I ask is becuase I've read the roots should be flushed to get rid of any fert. Widows in general seem to be very sensitive.
