Yes - the choking risk is pretty much limited to infants and toddlers. Saying a kid deserves to die because he is choking on a hot dog is crazy. They aren't responsible for what they're being fed, and they sure as hell don't deserve it.

Why not get a small light tent or built a couple bubble buckets to put in your closet? You can do that cheaply and easily.

That depends on the room and ventilation. In a walk-in closet, the 200 watts I have raise the ambient temperature by 5-10 degrees with the door shut.
