i think i should be good with a 400w considering im using almost all the space for flowering( little space left over is for clones). I was thinkin about building the ballast from a kit and mounting in a grounded box. anybody know where to get a good cheap ballast box? OR maybe just a cheap ballast?

i would say start germinating sum of your big bang seedlings and flushing you rez for now with fresh water till the seeds are ready for hydro.then cut and do the swap.

i jus bought the vapir one v.5.0 and it works great. the only problem i have is its blower fan is kinda annoying to me. otherwise quality and effectivness are pretty good.
