what do you mean by horizontally?

well there is a very small amount of nutrients in the soil. something like .09%, .04%, & .06% P, N, and K, respectively. i found out i wasn't supposed to use nutes the first few weeks of growing after i had bought this huge bag of soil. but this can't be that terrible can it?
