I'm curious as to what timer. I could not find one (12 volt) that was programable. Was thinking about using some 6" PVC for a resevior and gravity dripping from there. Wanted to pump the res full once every 5 days, maybe more frequently when real hot and dry. Texas!

I'm using some wire baskets very similar to these. Seems to be working well; taking a little longer than hanging by the stem, which isn't a bad thing IMO. Search around e-bay, amazon, etc . . . for "mesh letter tray" you'll find many options.

Maybe try a dummy security camera, some even come with a batt powered light. Genuine cameras are not too expensive either. Deterrence is huge as far as crime prevention goes.

Took mine down and gave it to the homeless folks. Went once before Christmas and again 12/31. Kid you not; loaded up some little brown paper sacks with a box of matches, 1/2 pack of 1.5's, 1/2 ~ 3/4 oz each and handed it out. It was rewarding, very rewarding.
