Cut straight, do you mean a perfect horizontal cut? Not a 45 degree (like with cloning) but 180? In theory, does it matter at which node I cut the stem? I mean at the top most node, a lot of the plant is burned off, so perhaps it would be best to cut it off 2 nodes from the top?
