Thermoelectric wine cooler drying and curing - DIY

I'm on day 3 and my garage smells like I'm living inside of a bud just from the fridge. I've never had a problem with terps being suppressed.

Should I try to get the exact replacement part from Wine Enthusiast or just try to find a fan with similar specs from a computer repair store?

So I picked up a used 28 bottle fridge on craigslist. When I picked it up he plugged it in for me and I was able to confirm it was working and cooling rather quickly. I got my dehumidifier installed and it was running for a few hours before it started making a high pitched sound and the temp...

This time I did a pretty decent wet trim but no initial drying. Last time I did a very rough wet trim but again with no initial dry.

I'd be pretty concerned about only running the dehumidifier for 2 min every three hours. I started at 75% RH on Monday. My average is down to 70 after 5 days by stepping it down 1% each day which is exactly where I want to be. I have not had any freeze ups and on average it runs for 2 min on...

I assume that is a compressor style. Is your humidifier on quite a bit?

Interesting. I have not had any problems with Inc Bird or ACI. But I start at 75% RH with 1% buffer and reduce the RH setting by 1% each day. If I find the dehumidifier can't keep up I slow down and step it down 1% every two days until it can handle the 1% daily. I would love to do some...

Gotcha, just raise it up so the fins are positioned in that elevated drain channel. That seems to work? Water doesn't build up on the lower floor?

Does this unit have an elevated drain? Trying to figure out what people are doing to solve for the elevated drain in these 28 bottle systems.

So I picked up a 28 bottle fridge from criagslist. It is the style with the drain that is and inch or two above the bottom of the fridge on a small ledge. I need one fridge for drying/curing and one for long term storage. I had planned on using the larger one for drying but that would mean I...

Nice work @Hook Daddy! I don't see Amazon's algorithm picking those products together without all the work you put into this! I've been promoting it in a few FB groups. Its cool when you come across someone on groups that has already built one. I almost pulled the trigger on a new koolatron...

I'm running out of room for my bagged goods which is a good thing. I'm thinking I could store full grove bags in a standard fridge. Do you think there would be any harm in that?

You will need to be careful with that. If you change the flow of air for the dehumidifier it may not work the same. You need those fins to freeze, melt, repeat in order to collect the moisture from the air, convert it to water and drain it out of the cooler.

This is how I built mine with the 69 pro controller. UIS plug. If you lose power make sure you double check your controller and that the plug is still working. I had an issue where I lost power for about an hour and when it came back up the plug wasn't turning on. It only did that once...

I've been thinking about building a larger unit out of a decommissioned fridge. Stripping out all the compressor and electronics and installing pelitiers and dehumidifiers. I found a free fridge that I might use. Maybe pull the insulation out of the door and spray foam it. What do you guys...

Thanks! I removed my drip tray. I have small tubing hooked up to the drain which goes into a 1/2 gallon jug under the fridge :)

@Hook Daddy do you think I overloaded? I ended up only chopping the top 1/2 of the plant (~800g wet trimmed) since I didn't think the whole plant was going to fit and the bottom half could use more time. First pic is the load. Second is what I have left after. Third was pre-harvest.
