Growing Girls Scout Cookies (low yield?)

Ya! I am on my fourth grow, and I feel like I am just getting the hang of it. I can almost just run on instinct. It's like I can just look at the plant and I know where to trim, whether it wants more nutes or less, whether I overwatered, etc. For those who are considering a grow, don't be afraid...

Oops. One of those pics was of the GSC. Let readers figure out which one it is.

Growing Girls Scout Cookies (low yield?)

Here are some pics of the GSC. It is looking like the Sour Diesel will be ready a bit sooner than I expected. The last few nights we have had temps in the low 40s or high 30s. The purple is starting to really come out, which makes me wonder if this is really a straight up Sour Diesel. The...

Here is a couple of better photos of the Sour Diesel trichomes. Buds not leaves. Mostly milky.

Thanks alot. My first time using a magnifier that clips onto a phone. But it's all good. At this point, it's almost over. Making it to the end without having had any issues is nice, especially since I faced numerous issues with my indoor grows. I will never grow indoors again.

Growing Girls Scout Cookies (low yield?)

As it turns out, I have missed the 50% cloudy window on some of my Sour Diesel. Some of the buds are showing 30% amber trichs. For my GSC, I see just a few amber trichs on the most developed buds. Tonight we may get pockets of mild frost in some areas. But temps will be in the 60s with lots of...

Growing Girls Scout Cookies (low yield?)

Lol! I apologize. This is virtually only the third forum I have ever joined. I will take some photos tomorrow and post them. But you raise a great point, which is that many growers claim to know what they have, when they really don't. I appreciate your not wanting to "throw shade" or suggesting...

Growing Girls Scout Cookies (low yield?)

That's correct, but I must admit that I don't just go entirely by the condition of the trichomes, as to when I finish. If I looks like the climate here will sustain it, (I'm in Maine) I might let things run a little longer. But I don't like bud that is over developed. I want as little of a...

Growing Girls Scout Cookies (low yield?)

Oh and by the way, I will definitely post some pictures of my plants within the next two weeks. There is no question that the Sour Diesel will finish in two weeks. The GSC may or may not finish as quickly, but if she continues to lag a bit behind the SD, I will bring her inside. That will only...

Growing Girls Scout Cookies (low yield?)

I very much appreciate your post. I admit, I felt attacked from some of the responses I received to my post. As you so clearly recognized, my only purpose was to let some growers know that, based on my (admittedly limited) experience with GSC, it is not a terrible producer if treated well and...

Growing Girls Scout Cookies (low yield?)

I grew all my plants from clones I took from my first grow. That is when I was growing many plants per grow. Now, I've gotten lazy. It's so easy and cheap here to just go buy some new clones, and I am only going to be growing a couple plants per grow, that I will just go buy a couple of clones...

Growing Girls Scout Cookies (low yield?)

Hi, and thanks so much for your input. To clarify, my GSC plant was a clone, taken from a mother plant that was grown from seed purchased as straight GSC from the Maine SeedBank. At this point, I am beginning to question whether the seeds were actually straight GSC, as some members have...

Growing Girls Scout Cookies (low yield?)

Thanks for your input. Fortunately, my plants are extremely healthy. They have far outstripped my experience with indoor growing. Mind you, I was always happy with my indoor grows. But I had my bouts with the common problems associated with indoor problems - heat and humidity control, powdery...

Growing Girls Scout Cookies (low yield?)

Thank you so much! It seems like I stirred up a hornets nest of controversy with just a simple post. I just wanted to relate my experience with what I believed was a GSC plant. Thank you for your positivity.

Growing Girls Scout Cookies (low yield?)

This is the most informative post so far regarding my GSC dilemma. So it sounds like maybe the Maine Seedbank may not have been totally honest about their GSC seeds. I will be much more particular in the future, when buying ther seeds, as to the origins of their seeds. Thanks.

I am putting it at three weeks until I harvest, but I will go by the trichomes. When they are 50% cloudy I will harvest. I do not want the buds to get super ripe. I prefer to harvest a bit early. Also, I am pushing the process along by reducing the light to 12/12 before the natural light here...

Growing Girls Scout Cookies (low yield?)

It seems to me, admittedly based on what information and photographs I could find online, that my plant does have the characteristics of a genuine GSC plant. In particular, the way the buds have formed. Not like any plant I have grown previously, with longer stretches of stem between bud sites...

Obviously no. I'm growing it for my sister who prefers Indica or Indica Dominant.

Growing Girls Scout Cookies (low yield?)

I do not believe that the two plants I have will take many more weeks until harvest. I do not intend to take them to maximum maturity. When 50 percent of the trichomes have turned cloudy, I will harvest. It is not going to take many weeks for that to happen. Maybe three weeks. That would put me...
