Is free business and budget estimating software useful to commerical growers?

What swings it is the economy of scale thing, at least it would if weed were like any normal plant. You can pretty much apply the same analysis to fruit and root veggies too. As I mentioned and as you noted, all that breaks down because of the messed up legal status of weed right now. But in the...

Is free business and budget estimating software useful to commerical growers?

I looked at that, its because interstate commerce is regulated by the fed and weed is still federally illegal, meaning any transportation of weed across state lines is a felony that the fed has indicated it does still care about and will enforce, apart from the issue of having to drive it...

Is free business and budget estimating software useful to commerical growers?

You're probably right. I just hate to see people suffer just because they're daft. But there is likely nothing that I can do about it. It really seemed like there were people who were willing to listen, and they either stayed in the non-regulated market or just never got involved in growing in...

Is free business and budget estimating software useful to commerical growers?

Hi All, I'm making software. Currently a better CO2 calculator. The other thing I thought might be useful to the community is the kind of detailed budgeting and cost estimate software I made for several commercial growers in Washington when I-502 passed. The reason being that a lot of good...

    A (more) complete CO2 Calculator

Great! Thanks for the feedback. Now I can finish the thing up. Well, mostly. I'm going to see how actually using some of these weirder methods work out and update with results, which will take a while. I'll try used cooking oil to start with, grow room may smell like fries but its hard to beat...

    A (more) complete CO2 Calculator

LOL, thanks. Put in a dark theme too by just inverting the colors. Thanks for the feedback too. :)

    A (more) complete CO2 Calculator

That's a good suggestion. I'll put together a dark mode, it'll only take a minute or so, hard part will be finding good colors. Thanks for the suggestion.

    A (more) complete CO2 Calculator

I tried white but that was giving me eye strain so I went with a very light washed out color. How's this?

    A (more) complete CO2 Calculator

Normally nothing, in this case I worry that black and white will make it hard to differentiate between the boxes the page creates, at least for people with bad vision, like I have. I'll try a white background and then maybe use alternating light greens so the boxes don't run together as much.

    A (more) complete CO2 Calculator

Is this a better option? Its a lot more washed out so shouldn't cause as much eye strain.

    A (more) complete CO2 Calculator

Thanks for the feedback and sorry about that. Got a suggestion for a better color? Design really isn't my thing so I just grabbed the first green option adobe's color wheel suggested.

    A (more) complete CO2 Calculator

So I never have to manually calculate this stuff again I made a more thorough co2 calculator. Right now it only works with desktop/laptop layouts. I'll fix that in the near future. I'm sharing the core part of it now so the forum can tell me if I messed up somewhere or ought to add things to it...

Has anyone done a cost comparison between a kipps generator and a commerical CO2 generator?

Heh, yeah, I'm a bit out there. :) Thing is a lot of middle America is in the same situation. We're too far away from everything, both welding shops and weed stores for the easy solution to work out. Weed is legal in my state but the nearest weed shop is in the same city as the nearest welding...

Has anyone done a cost comparison between a kipps generator and a commerical CO2 generator?

That's a good refill price, or at least better than the welding shop I'm not willing to drive to quoted me, think they wanted about $3 a pound. Here's my notes: A pound is equal to 454 grams. Since a mole of CO2 weighs 44 grams there are 10.32 moles per pound of CO2 (12+16+16=44) for a per mole...

Has anyone done a cost comparison between a kipps generator and a commerical CO2 generator?

Because the nearest welding supply shop is a 4 hour round trip away. Not all of us live in urban areas.

Has anyone done a cost comparison between a kipps generator and a commerical CO2 generator?

Thanks for the info and encouragement. This has turned into quite the research project. My conclusions so far are that the per mole cost of CO2 made from burning propane at current prices is about $.02 whereas the per mole cost of CO2 made by fermentation of a sugar wash (the yeast+sugar...

Has anyone done a cost comparison between a kipps generator and a commerical CO2 generator?

Ha! Yeah, this isn't a solution for everyone. They do actually make them out of polypropylene too which is much less delicate. That said, if I were growing for my own use, and not for friends with health issues, I probably wouldn't be comfortable with it either.

Has anyone done a cost comparison between a kipps generator and a commerical CO2 generator?

Did a search for "Kipp's" on here and found no results. Its an older method so that may be why. If someone has already looked into this and I missed it then I suck, but please be kind and hit me up with the right link despite my suckage. Back in the day: before about 1940 in the US, you...
