Nutrient / ph issue in supersoil ?

Looking nice with a bit of a phosphorus deficiency, most likely. If it were me, I'd add some. Probably more than four weeks left, though.

    AK Bean Brains

Growing some Hawaiian Cat Piss, making some seeds. I have a question, especially if anyone is familiar with this strain. Which male should I use? My original plan was to gather as much genetics as I could through "open" pollenation. Turns out that of the five that popped, four were males. With...

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

Concur. I use a wicking bed adaptation, and gravel size/shape makes a significant difference there. Coming at it from the too-large/too-dry side of the balance made it easy to limp along when fine-tuning (just top water a bit). Too wet could be catastrophic.

Complete newbie - failure.... babies are in trouble... yet again :( HELP!!!!

If you go to coco/perlite to sprout, I'd try to keep it near 6.0-7.0. My tap water is 7.0 and I never have issues, sprouting or flowering. Low ppm helps. It's likely you're on a well, so let us know what your water is like. If your water is 6.0-8.0 with a ppm of 200 or less, chasing pH will...

Complete newbie - failure.... babies are in trouble... yet again :( HELP!!!!

Hello! I don't know what is in your field soil, and your mix could be too strong already (especially if you disc in manure). Still, I'm all but certain using that soil with other nutrients is too much when the sprouts are that small. They are burning up. I suggest water only for that soil. If...

    Worm Castings

Most folks let anything living in EWC stay living. It can be a source of hypoapsis miles and cucumeris (if your EWC is good quality). The miles eat gnat larvae, and the cucumeris will roam your plant looking for spider mites to eat. EWC can also function as an innoculant, like a compost tea...

    Supreme Court Anyone?

When I first read this news, I immediately thought of you. You have been very vocal about your desire to see TFFG face accountability. Perhaps the lack of an adequate mechanism for SCOTUS gives you this bird's-eye view?

    Yesterday's Mass Shooting.

Sorry you have to read that crap. Thanks for helping keep this place a worthwhile destination! I played more first-person shooters than anyone I knew growing up. I did drugs and wore a black trench coat (pre-Columbine). Still haven't shot up anything. Neither has anyone else I knew from those...

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

It's hard to say "thanks" because I made so many mistakes, but I'm still smoking my own weed and staying out of dispos! So thank you anyway! :bigjoint:

Nutrient / ph issue in supersoil ?

I haven't used molasses. Can't say. If the issue progresses, I might try raising the light a bit more. Other than that, I hesitate to say much. Seems like you give a lot to the plants and they're kinda big, so I wouldn't want to throw off the balance.

Nutrient / ph issue in supersoil ?

What do you mean by "bloom amendments?" The ones you used the day you turned up the light? I can see why you suspect pH, but I'm not convinced. I suspect different phenotypes giving you trouble. Plants look good. Front-right plant has been lighter green for some time, and is stacking bracts...

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

Bought a Rapidtest kit, balancing with compost, bone meal, and langbeinite. For micros, I rely on that langbeinite, also gypsum, native dirt, tap water, and dead bugs. edit: I also use an innoculated, fortified 4-4-4 to round it all out (Jobe's). Considering using their 3-9-4 for some of these...

Trillis net or no trillis net ? Opinions

I tried a net once, but I'm always running from seed. I made these for other training. The super croppers are made from old fencing wire, and the branch spacers/holders from landscape fabric pins. If you look up the word "cheap," you'll find my picture.

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

So I did exactly that! (Cleaned the rocks and balanced the soil.) Started some AKBB genes. Roots are just hitting the reservoir, and training is done for a flip this weekend.

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

Finished a SIP grow. Sativa-heavy Useful genes, went about 14 weeks. Learned the value of cleaning the wicking rocks and balancing the ROLS after each run.

    AK Bean Brains

Hawaiian Cat Piss. I have three out of five confirmed males flowering in the 2x2. Here are the other two. I am 99% sure one is female, the other is throwing me for a loop (still in veg, training and getting roots into SIP water). At nine weeks from wet seed, I'm surprised to not see a pistil...

You need to take pics without LED's on!!!

Found settings on my phone camera. More blue picture was set at a default of WB 4600k (whatever that is) and more yellow picture I set at 6000k.

You need to take pics without LED's on!!!

I've noticed my plants look waaaaay better when I pull them out of the LED tent. I didn't think much about it as soil growing has taught me not to panic. Most of the problems I have addressed were visible by moonlight at 100 paces! Doesn't seem like folks around here get too militant about...
