Cool thanks for your input. I spoke with the owner of Wallace Wow yesterday. He said it's best to use when transplanting from clone to vegetation. After that it's not really needed and kind of overkill.
Thanks to everyone for your input.
I'm definitely gonna introduce this product to my garden. Seems like it's a bit more expensive than I thought especially factoring in the flood tables.
I'll make a post about my garden on here but I'm usually posting on IG. Give me a follow if ya want, it's @...
I appreciate another perspective on this. What do you mean by "Runaway removes the benefit"?
Isn't it possible to set it up so that there isn't any runoff or will that happen either way with Blumat?
Since I use dry amendments I try to avoid runoff as much as possible, max 10%.
Yeah I'm from Canada so I'd be ordering from Black Swallow. The owner is really nice.
It will be difficult to raise the res 3 ft high so I'll need a pump system.
If you don't mind me asking what parts do I need for 8 plants in 7 gallon pots ? I'm guessing it'll be about $150 for 8 plants?
The...
A lot of what you say I don't understand right now. All the separate parts confuse me, wish they had kits.
To be honest, I'm relying on my local store that has them to tell me what I need cuz I find this really confusing.
All I need is the drip irrigation for 8- 7 gal plastic pots x 2 and I...
Oh wow, that's great to hear responses so quick. The main selling point is that they monitor the moisture levels and water accordingly.
My only concern is, how do I top dress with the irrigation set up? Usually I put the plant on a bar stool and top dress one at a time but from what I've heard...
High,
I plan to have 16 plants in 7 trade gallon pots(5 actual gallons), 8 in flower & 8 in veg, growing in Stepwell Super Soil.
I feel like the automation of watering is not really needed...
Other than the fact Blumat Irrigation automatically waters when the soil reaches a certain dryness...
So 5 gallon isn't enough? I usually grow in 4 in 3 gal pots for a 3x3 light so I thought 4 in 5 gal pots would do well.
A lot of people recommend big pots with super soil but I've had great success with even 2 gal pots.
I like StareCase's idea of starting in the same pot I plan to finish in. I'm hoping 5 gallon plastic pots are good enough because they are 5 trade gallons. Which is about 70% of an actual gallon, it's 0.71*5= 3.55 gal pots. Most plastic pots are trade gallon but just thought it was worth...
Good idea, makes things a bit simpler.
Less transplanting is always good and as long as it's only 4 plants per FC 4800 that should work for my Vegroom. 16 plants in flower/16 plants in veg.
Thanks for your input!
Yeah for some reason it automatically logged me into my old account...
So 4- 5 gallon plastic pots for flower and 4- 1.5 gallon plastic pots should work?
Originally I wanted to do big plants but the veg time will take too long.
Thanks for your input
High,
Currently I have 2 grow rooms, 1 for veg with 2-TSW 2000's and a cloning station capable of handling 2 trays. The other room will have 4- FC 4800's.
For pot sizes my plan is to either have:
1.5 gal plastic pots for veg and transplant to 5 gal plastic pots for flower (4-6 plants per...
