I suggest getting some mulch to cover the top of the soil and it will allow the medium to dry out more evenly. Maybe back off the extra feed for 2 weeks and mix so e unscented espom salt at the rate if 2tbl per gallon (don't PH) and foliar feed at night ever 3rd day.
