Wanted to know everyone’s though on how much should i water my plant In a 10 gallon pot? Is there a rule of thumb for how much water per pot size ?

Is a 5 gallon pot too small for a outdoor grow? I’m aware with the term as go as big as you can. I am trying to keep it short and bushy as possible. Was concerned about rootbound any advise is appreciated. Here are a few photos. They are in 5 gallon pots
