    Light Proofing Door Ideas

So the light comes in under the door and casts across the floor of the room with the grow tent. If I put a book next to the only open air vent on the lower part of the grow tent, it's enough light to read the book. From my understanding, this is considered "too much light." This isn't a plug in...

    Light Proofing Door Ideas

Appreciate the responses. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the general rule of thumb which is also recommended by Dr. Bugbee is if you can read normal print in a book, the light is sufficient to stress photoperiod. I agree the best bet is probably just to light proof the tent and see how...

    Light Proofing Door Ideas

I appreciate the feedback, but I think y'all are missing a couple of caveats. I already have a grow tent in this bedroom. It's a 2x4x5. I also absolutely cannot cut through the door or wall to install anything. What I have to work with is the crack under the door. Best options are either seal...

    Light Proofing Door Ideas

I'm having an issue with light pollution currently. Long story short, the grow room has a single standard bedroom door where light pollution is inevitable under the door. I need a way to block the light while still allowing air from the exhaust to exit the room. Cutting the door/wall is not an...

    In House Genetics Thread

Which is interesting because I've heard from some that platinum crosses tend to be the most stable. I guess YMMV? You figure the strain they cross the most would tend to be the most stable, but they give such shit information about each one when I'm ordering. Like it'll just be a narrative...

Amazing strain. Regularly passing out from it's effects. Extremely sticky, with a great smell. No coughing, nice and smooth. I'd say it leans more in the clean smell side like fruity. Certainly no gas or skunk. Honestly besides the slight herming issue, I never had anything bad to say about it...

    Cannarado genetics

Is papaya one of their most stable strains? I've noticed almost all of their most popular strains have papaya in the cross. I'm coming from IHG and Meph so I'm weighing my options for a couple of breeders. Looking for stable indicas.

    In House Genetics Thread

What are considered the most stable strains? I've done sugar cane twice and platinum gorilla once. Gorilla had a few seeds, and some signs of slight herm in the bud. One sugar cane grow was a mess and 2 of the 3 plants literally produced a concerning amount of seed for a Feminized photoperiod to...

How to dissolve dry silica (Protekt)

Simple question here. I measure my DG Protekt with long pipettes that are slowly accumulating silica build up which then dries out and gets dusty. This becomes an issue because then along with the fresh silica, there are dried flakes of silica in the solution. Is there a way to suck something up...

Higher Yield? Perpetual auto grow vs single photo grow?

I always thought AC worked by an air return creating suction and the vents will push fresh air into the room, pushing the existing hot air into the return for conditioning/cooling. I'll test both methods and see which results in lower temps.

Higher Yield? Perpetual auto grow vs single photo grow?

For the open closet setup, would it be better to place a desk fan at the entrance blowing air up, or inside the closet up high where it can blow air out. I'm thinking a fan up high inside closet will help push hot air down and out the open door.

Higher Yield? Perpetual auto grow vs single photo grow?

Im thinking of just vegging autos in the closet for 3 weeks while autos in the tent finish flowering. I might just put a desk fan on that shelf at the top of the closet and leave the door partially open since light leaks won't matter. I've had varying degrees of seeds/herms, and with far less...

Higher Yield? Perpetual auto grow vs single photo grow?

The light leaks from the closet would bleed into the flowering tent.

Higher Yield? Perpetual auto grow vs single photo grow?

So I'm running Meph Double Grape and they say 65-70 so I should adjust my harvest date to something like 85 days or so? I haven't done an auto grow in probably 2 years so I'm adjusting my traditional photo knowledge a bit. What major advantages did you notice from going beyond the breeder grow...

Higher Yield? Perpetual auto grow vs single photo grow?

How many days from sprout did those plants take?

Higher Yield? Perpetual auto grow vs single photo grow?

It won't be in hydro; it'll be promix HP. I am however currently running Meph Double Grape which are going well. I'll start another Meph batch in a week or so. I think with a few runs I'll get things dialed in.

Higher Yield? Perpetual auto grow vs single photo grow?

So I'm in a situation where I'm debating which will yield more, 2 three plant auto grows that function more like a perpetual grow (one tent would flower while the other handles veg), or a single grow with three traditional photoperiods. My constraints are I have a 2x4x5 tent that can handle 3...

SF G4500 blinking, popping, tripping breaker

Just an update. After showing them some pics of the issues, SF sent me a newer model driver. Once I ran the new wires into the assembly, it powered right back up and is now alive again. Regardless of what good or bad things you may say/hear about the company, they did make it right and included...

Spider Farmer led grow light--less watts, more light

Just an update. Spider Farmer reached out, sent me a new driver, and I'm back in action!

SF G4500 blinking, popping, tripping breaker

I believe the light has a dimmer bypass for linking multiple lights. I'll wait to see how SF responds to the warranty request first, but a driver is certainly cheaper than a new $400 light. What would be a stout dimmer for a 430w just in case? Hopefully it's not the driver itself having issues...
