    2nd opinion identifying plants

I've usually been pretty good at keepin em together. Maybe i'm gettin too complacent with experience and the realization that it's gonna be a fun ride regardless lol. And yea, I suppose you are right. I won't worry too much about it. I'm sure I'll notice the difference in taste

    2nd opinion identifying plants

So, I may have mixed up the seeds. I think I have it figured out, but could be nice to have a second opinion. The three strains and their type and flowering time are as follows Malawi x Panama - 100% Sativa hybrid 13-14 week flower Bruce banner - Indica/sativa hybrid 11 week flower Northern...

Question about autoflowering vs regular flowering

I really enjoy that factor of having some control over the end product based on how long you wait to flip. I felt that's the way it would be, that's why I never tried autoflower lol. The consistency throughout could be nice for getting a good water/nute schedule though. I'm sure there are pros...

Question about autoflowering vs regular flowering

@rkymtnman @FirstCavApache64 Interesting, so it would have a negative effect on the yield but should still make it to completion just fine. Definitely something to consider, thank you. Can autoflower work in a SoG setup? I feel like that could be a decent way to minimize loss.

Question about autoflowering vs regular flowering

So I have done a few grows now. They have all been regular flowering, aka I choose when to flip from 18+ to 12-12. I just bought a couple seeds and they sent me a few promo seeds. A single one of those promo seeds is autoflowering. I do not want to do a single plant grow. Would it be unrealistic...

    Looking for second opinion

I'm sure I could look it up, but do you have any natural fungicide concoctions you prefer? Or would you suggest a more chemical approach?

    Looking for second opinion

Ah I have a loupe, I could try using that. Also, thank you for the natural alternative suggestion, those are always nice to know. I've used a basic dish soap water mixture before, never tried the citric acid one one.

    Looking for second opinion

First point. Only reason I'm doing that is because this soil I'm currently using drains very slow. I'm watering once every 5-6 days now so I'm feeding roughly once every 10-12 days. I probably should have specified that Second point. I have still had issues where I properly pH water and it...

    Looking for second opinion

Ah, ok yea I've never actually had spider mites before. It probably wouldn't hurt to put some traps in or maybe just hit it with insecticide though. Definitely wanna get this figured out before I flip to flower, which I was hoping to do pretty soon.

    Looking for second opinion

It does kinda look like spider mite or thrip damage, but I haven't seen any webs, and the underside of the leaves look clear. I could try putting traps in the tent to see if anything sticks.

    Looking for second opinion

So I have used both a slurry and runoff to test ph and it is around 6.3. I did have a bout of overwatering as I am using new soil that holds moisture more, but i have that under control now. I am using fox farm trio nutes with 4 tbsp of the general stuff and 3 tsp of nitrogen rich every other...

    Question about up-potting and why?

Thank you, I see now this definitely makes sense. Also, according to this, I suppose I have been up-potting too early, before I have allowed the roots to gather on the edges. . Also thank everyone else for answers, sometimes it's the simple concepts that just go right over my head lol.

    Question about up-potting and why?

Ok so multiple sources across all botanical practices deem up-potting to be an effective and common strategy. I am not denying that. However, I would like to better understand WHY that is. I have been searching for answers on this, yet to find anything really solid. The best answer I found was...

Some ideas on maximizing single plant in room?

I have never even heard of air layering, that's pretty fascinating that it works like that. And honestly that sounds so nice. I've heard about cloning, but I have never really messed with it. I would have to setup another space and get some new equipment but that type of setup just sounds so...

Some ideas on maximizing single plant in room?

So I started growing last few years. First attempt was 3 plants with a very weak return, fast forward a bit of personal growthand time and I tried two plants last run, getting the biggest yield yet. This time I am trying a single plant, curious if I can get an even bigger yield out of this...

Considering getting a filter, any advice?

Yes, it is a possibility. During proper seasons I get a lot of rain, and I have an area I can put a resevoir. Besides convenience and it being natural, what do you find to be the main appeal to rain water?

Considering getting a filter, any advice?

Yea I guess that could be it. My tap water did smell kinda like a pool the other day lol. I tried to leave it out to evaporate chlorine, but as I now know, that doesn't work for chloramine.

Considering getting a filter, any advice?

Oh wow, I actually didn't know all of this was available. It says Chlorine and chloramine 2.18 level detected and .7-4.0 range. Based on a quick search it seems that should be fine. It definitely seems like chloromine symptoms, but maybe I am wrong. Maybe the water company had a bad day and used...

Considering getting a filter, any advice?

Yea pretty much the same thing I found. Not easy to remove, and can cause permanent damage. Pretty rough. Not all learning experiences are enjoyable lol. I might try boiling the water for a temporary solution and then leaving it out for a bit to cool, it might drop the pH but I can always fix...

Considering getting a filter, any advice?

Since I started using tap water, I have noticed the start of what I thought to be calcium/magnesium+nitrogen deficiency with the brown spots and yellowing/dying lower leaves. Luckily I was able to harvest that before too much damage was done. But as I am now seeing it happen on another plant...
