My mother plant looks sick, any ideas?

Carpets can be cold too. <3 If I were to setup a grow, with a tent, in my ice cold basement, even an hps would not jump up the temp at the root zone, even with a zipped up tent. Some basements just have cement foundation with a single layer of carpet. So you set the pot on top of something that...

My mother plant looks sick, any ideas?

Now that I am giving that plant a 2x-3x over it might just be the inner stuff that didn't receive much light, then when you cut out some tops for clones, they were exposed, and they look a bit rough. Have certainly seen that before. No biggie. Just get some underlight, side light, lower lights...

My mother plant looks sick, any ideas?

If someone gave me a million dollars if I could guess in four guesses, what it could be...without knowing anything, not being able to see the plant in real time, ect...Also, who the fuck knows what is true, or what details were part of a dream or a trip you thought was reality, ect... 1...

My mother plant looks sick, any ideas?

Since you are in soil, any sort of dry amendment or compost tea fix will have a delayed effect. Not saying this is not a great route, it will just take some time. If you want to get that plant healthy as quickly as possibly, make sure your ph is on, grab a liquid nutrient like Pure Blend Pro...

My mother plant looks sick, any ideas?

OK. What are your root zone temps? If the floor you are growing on is ice cold, and your root zone temp is lower, the plants ability to uptake nutrients will be severely limited or halted completely. Hps can create a lot of heat, but a tent sitting on top of a basement floor can create an...

My mother plant looks sick, any ideas?

I have had similar experiences. BUT, I have never kept a mother past the 3 year mark. My money says you can't keep a plant past a decade without the mother plant starting to lose vigor...some strains even less. Regardless of care. Anything past five years old I would really consider cloning out...

My mother plant looks sick, any ideas?

And the clone you get that is "clone only" is likely not cut from the FIRST MOTHER EVER MADE FROM THAT STRAIN. Get my point? They get old, and start putting out shitty cuts, or the cuts roots slow, ect. You create a new mother, with a nice, new root system, roots ready to fill the NEW media...it...

My mother plant looks sick, any ideas?

Not to mention the fact that you just acknowledged that "worn out plants get the blame" AKA worn out plants exist.

My mother plant looks sick, any ideas?

That's your theory. Plants WILL get stressed over time when you take a thousand plus cuts from them.

My mother plant looks sick, any ideas?

Even if you don't agree that mothers get worn out, is the advice directly above that sentence not valid? You sound like a dude that just likes to be an asshole. LOL. Carry on.

My mother plant looks sick, any ideas?

You could always just take a few nice cuts, use the best of that group, and create a new mother. Sometimes they just get worn out over time.
