CREE CXB3590 drivers (Meanwell vs CF Grow)

No I'm in Melbourne, and Hydro Hill don't have an online store but I should be fine to go with cutter.com.au or GLA when I'm ready to do this in future. I guess I could always sell my current lights down the track too, seems like interest in home growing Anything is skyrocketing at the moment...

That isn't the one I got, description was too vague and I figured it had to be cheap Chinese knock-off parts. This is the QB I purchased https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/QUANTUM-LED-GROW-LIGHT-V3-MEGA-LM301B-3000K-R-SPEC-IR-UV-2020-250W-QB288/254437220197 Prawn I assume is @ Grow Lights Australia?

DIY stuff is not an option for me at this point in time, I have no skills or equipment and my head is already exploding from basic horticultural information heh.

Not sure, it's an Australian seller on eBay (ledexpressaus), and the item seems hand assembled so technically I am buying local haha.. for the price I'd hope they are not cheap Chinese components as that was the whole reason I didn't spend half that same amount on one of these~...

I think that's what I'll do, yeah. Can't see too much love for Mars on forums like this.

Average temps for the next 3 months in my area are around 7-8°C (45°F) min, 15-16°C (60°F) max. I might just do that... financially it looks like it's about my only option at the moment to beef things up somewhat. If it's too hot just with the HPS, I'll make do with the QB for full grow cycle...

Even if I returned both the Mars & the QB (which I COULD technically do as neither has arrived yet, though I may be up for return shipping on both) this option would be Just out of my price range when considering the fact that I'd also need to pay somebody to build it for me (might be difficult...

My tent measures (LWH) 1m x 1m x 2m. I'm in Victoria (one of the coldest parts of Australia) and we're about to go into winter -- so that's what made me think the QB I've bought may not produce enough heat by itself, to rule out the addition of a 400W HPS/MH as well. Besides the fact that with...

I looked at the Meijiu's prior to purchasing but they seemed (on paper) almost identical to the QB I ended up getting... I see they have the HG-480 you're mentioning, does that really make all the difference?... Anyhow, with the exchange rate from USD plus shipping the Meijiu would have worked...

Well I haven't bought any HPS/MH stuff yet. Given my budget I could afford another $100USD light to supplement the 3000K QB, or $200USD if I return the Mars TS '600W'. I feel like the QB is worth keeping, and you haven't disagreed with that choice specifically, only stating that it was too...

@Airwalker16 And when you say "we", do you represent a store/company or just saying 'we of the forum'? What would your suggestion have been for a 4-plant setup in my space at the start, before I'd bought any lights? Thanks for your help..

@Airwalker16 less than $300USD or AUD? I hadn't seen your comment here by the time I decided to buy that 3000K QB linked above (honestly I assumed this sort of question got asked here all the time with no replies)... but based on what you said in your first reply, the model I bought was my best...

I ended up grabbing Option #3 but the 3000K version, thinking I would also buy a 600W digital dimmable ballast + HPS/MH bulb combo to assist on lower levels throughout veg, then put it on 100% (or "Super Lumens"? whatever that means) to help bulk up flowering. So additional questions, firstly is...

Hi all, First time poster here, based in Australia with nearly all the materials needed for a promising first grow. I have a mylar tent measuring roughly 4'x4' (1mx1m, and 2m high) and will be growing 4 plants in straight Canna Coco with only Canna nutes/additives (may post a grow journal but...
